It’s Been A Long Time is a solo exhibition of iconic images of Led Zeppelin alongside rare and never seen
photographs from the archives of renowned music photographer Jeffrey Mayer. The exhibition is being
premiered in Los Angeles at the Eye For Sound Gallery in Eagle Rock. The public opening for the Los
Angeles premiere will be on September 26 and will carry on through the month of October.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to view historically important photographs including concert and
backstage images dating back to Zeppelin’s first US Tour through their last. Most of the prints in the
exhibition have never been seen and are being made available for acquisition for the very first time. A
rare opportunity indeed.
Additionally, Jeffrey has expanded his collaboration with renowned graffiti writer and mural artist Marcel
‘SEL’ Blanco by including 5 new images in SEL’s Sonic Remix Series; which takes classic music photography
and reinterprets the images with his signature LA Street Art Style. These new pieces will also be available
for purchase at Eye For Sound Gallery, as will a selection of official Led Zeppelin Tee Shirts.
Since it’s 2024 opening, Los Angeles based Eye For Sound is quickly growing into a premiere art gallery,
serving as the base for local and international artists to exhibit their unique and meaningful works.
“Excited to be exhibiting these rare and powerful photos of an iconic band such as Led Zeppelin at Eye
For Sound. As a musician and artist myself, seeing these great moments in rock immortalized on our
gallery walls is always a treat”, comments Gallery owner Serj Tankian (lead singer of Grammy Award
winning hard rock band System Of A Down).
